What is the best cigarette tube?

Posted by TDoms on Sunday, 23-Mar-2008

I've been searching around the internet for the answer to this one simple question: what is the best cigarette tube? To be a little more specific, I'm looking for a tube that's white with a brown tip. Please help!

Custom Tubes?

Posted by Burke on Monday, 18-Feb-2008

Hello, I am new to making my own but believe that I will be doing it for a long time. Do any of the tube manufacturers offer custom printing on their tubes. Wouldn't it be neet to have your own name on the tubes? Well just a thought. Burke

clear tubes

Posted by dave z on Monday, 21-Jan-2008

I saw these on the net; clear filtered tubes. Now I cant find them. I tried google w/ no luck, and have been keeping a bastard eye out for them. They looked pretty cool, and are supposedly toxin-free, just cellulose. I knew I should have bought them but figured they'd catch on, I guess not. I see the clear rolling papers caught on, anyone seen the tubes?

Posted by Jeffo on Friday, 18-Jan-2008

I've been looking to purchase some ultra-light 100mm tubes for a friend of mine. Can anyone tell me where to get them? I've been looking and can't seem to find anyone who sells them.

If anyone has an idea of a good medium tube please RSVP. Im now using FF tubes and I dont like lights. From what I gather on this site, the Charbons might be a medium tube. Any comments?

Any filterless tubes w/structure?

Posted by Hua Kul on Friday, 04-Jan-2008

I would love a non-filtered tube with some structure at the mouth end to keep it open and not soggy. I can't get the hang of the Athey tubes and it wastes a lot of good tobacco. I'm also not too fond of a cigarette holder, partly because of the stale odor it accumulates and the small opening. I would appreciate any suggestions.

What makes a tube horrible?

Posted by Mike B on Friday, 14-Dec-2007

So, I have like 400 Premier Tubes and I see here that some of you sincerely hate them. Why?

Tired of tubes...

Posted by cheap & chippy chopper on Tuesday, 04-Dec-2007

Whoa, I think I'm having a little trouble navigating the new forum organization.

anyway, here's what I meant to post here:

After being burned down by the RYO mag guy over my suggestions for tube improvements, I got a bit "over" tubes and instead explored over 20 websites selling papers, filters, and rolling machines.

I discovered an interesting thing: good (meaning rice or flax or hemp, flavorless and "paperless") papers cost A BUNDLE compared with premade tubes. This fact, by the way, wasn't mentioned by said RYO mag person.

Anyone else noticed this? I thought, heck, papers are going to be cheaper.   Hoo doggies, they ain't. Some of the nice transparent or wood-free papers cost almost double the price of the goodish tubes. That's *before* you pick up the filters, and the machine.

Whazzup with that?

Handmade Tube Dispenser

Posted by ChasM on Wednesday, 25-Jul-2007

Handmade Tube DispenserHangs right behind my cigarette making machine (Supermatic II or Top-O-Matic - depending on my mood). It has been well worth the time spent to make it.

Tube and Case Holder

Tube and Case HolderI wanted something a bit more solid than a cardboard box for the tubes and something that would keep my cigarette cases in one place and easy to fill. Its made from .04" aluminum, some mahogany-like wood and has four small rubber feet. To fill it with tubes, I reverse/back fold the lid and flaps and tear them off, I then place the holder over the box, flip it upright and then pull off the box out. There's also an image of an empty holder.
