Do You Blend Pipe Tobaccos Into Your Cigs?

I recently invested in a half ounce each of Latakia and Perique pipe tobaccos. Any recommendations, advice or warnings on blending pipe tobaccos into cigarette blends?

I ve tried it w/ latakia, perique and asstd straight blends (not aromatics, although that would work well I m sure). I do it in layers as well, as pipe cuts are lg square ones. I lay a strip of Va first, then pipe tobacco, then more Va to get an even burn. It works well and is something that is literally endless as there are hundreds, if not more, of pipe offerings. I ve only done it in a HH but it would probably work well in a stuffer. I ve not tried using shag in a blend but imagine the shag might catch the pipe cuts better and allow you to do a larger mix, maybe I ll try that. Using straight pipe cuts would fall out the tube though, as i learned the hard way. Happy smoking :)

Interesting discussion. Thanks for the link. I had been layering the pipe tobacco as discussed in the link. The main reason for my question is a friend of mine expressed concern regarding the blending of pipe tobacco in with cigarette tobacco. She was worried since you aren't supposed to inhale pipe tobacco. I had already tried the Latakia layered in with ultralight tobacco. My next experiment will be to layer the Perique pipe tobacco in with G. R. Rimboche.

Many people dont inhale aromatic pipe tobacco (some do), but many inhale Va's, burleys, unflavored blends etc. But take this for what its worth, as I also inhale cigars. Just be ready for loads of nicotine! You ll definitely want to filter these, at least i do.

I noticed with the Latakia it put a bit of kick into the ultralight, although it wasn't so strong I couldn't take it. I heavily filter my smokes anyway and am probably presently smoking a few steps lighter than ultralight. I have a tendency to revert to tar traps only if I am looking to catch more of the flavor.
