Donations for the SYO & MYO sites?
Posted by Jeffo on Saturday, 15-Mar-2008
Hey Dave,
I don't know all the ramifications of this but I'd be more than happy to contribute whatever I can afford on occasion to help keep the sites going. The wealth of information here is well worth it to me. Why couldn't you put a donation button on the categories section?
I'll bet many others would also. However the fact that there isn't one there already may be indicative that there are problems involved in doing this that I'm not aware of and you are. Just curious...Jeffo

Well, you could just send Dave a check or money order made out to him and send it to the address listed on the Stuff your own site under the "about" hyper link. If he did not want it then he could send it back to you as long as you provided a return address, heck throw a stamp in there too. You could also order tobacco and tubes for him through D&R and have them sent to the mentioned address also. I don't think he would mind that either. I'm glad that you mentioned that idea about making contributions. I never thought Dave would be the type to ask but I have a feeling he puts a lot more time into this than any one can imagine. He gets visitors from all over the world. This is a good idea Jeffo.

These are great suggestions. I'm going to send him something in appreciation for all his time, efforts and ingenuity which have helped me "muchly". Maybe some of the manufacturers could send him a few bones too for all his good ideas...Jeffo

I'm really surprised that manufacturers don't keep him in endless machines, tobacco, tubes and all associated gizmos. After all these websites do for the Stuff and Make your own market. It seems that about every couple of months someone starts a thank you thread on one of the sites and I think your idea of doing a little more is great.

But I'll probably spend the next week trying to figure out what this means: "(me and the musicians combine the word)". Maybe you and the musicians agree?
