glitch at D and R website

I wonder if D and R has noticed that their new age-verification
software is proclaiming all ages as under eighteen! I'm sixty,
entered my b-day, entered bunches of others, and I can't
get in to the site. I'll give 'em a call tomorrow.
Not good for business.

Its busted and easy to bypass >>>>>>>>> [link] <<<<<<<<<. I really hate those frigging things. A one time registration would be preferred to having to go through them every time I visit a site (e.g. nascigs.com).

FWICT the age verification exists only at www.cigarettetobacco.com/ [link]. It doesn't work when using Firefox, Opera or Konqueror (Linux).

You can bypass it by using www.cigarettetobacco.com/index.htm [link].

FWIW - It doesn't work with Safari (Mac OsX), either.

I talked to Mark today (mostly about new tobaccos that he's manufacturing) the age verification issue came up and he's aware of the problem that Yehuda Manne reported. His 'computer guy' is now aware that it isn't working on FF or Mac's and will try to fix it ASAP.
He also mentioned the reasons for implementing the Age Verification is because he's currently getting alot of pressure from the government.
Apparently Age Verification is a hot-button topic right now where the NAAG wants extra restrictions not only at the ordering stage but is also pushing for verified deliveries. If they continue to force the issue it will create alot of extra pressure on D&R and other online tobacco retailers, it could even shut-out customers who use P.O. Boxes or require USPS delivery unless a workable compromise can be reached.
Please have patience as he reviews his options and tries to come up with a workable system that won't inconvenience customers, yet satisfy the gov't agencies involved.
