Here is a sight that sells the metal cigarette cases. I just got one, and they appear to be well made.

I have a silver plated case that just like the ones on the site linked above. It only holds 18 SYO's because of their larger size. I have been very pleased with it.

I have been using the same two cases daily. Dropped them a lot, used and abused them, and they still come back for more. Two points to bring out. 1 don't store your cigs without putting in a plastic baggie, as they will dry out in a short time (12 hours or less). 2 don't buy the real cheap ones (make sure that they have steel rivets rather than the brass, as the brass are pressed on, and the rivets will fall out in short order.
The best buy since the Top O Matic!!!!

I checked out a couple of cigarette cases, and they seemed pretty sharp. I'll stick with my Zigzag two piece. The guys at my bar would kick my ass if they saw me with the fancy one!
Later, Jeff

Sounds like you hang around a lot of narrow minded people and you are very young.

Who cares what other people think. The Smoky case simply works better for SYO.

Try one at home and I think you will soon find that it really does work better for SYO and quit worrying about what other folks think. If questioned about the case, explain it to them.

Anyway, what are you REALLY afraid of?

Smoky cases are quite simply the best as far as I'm concerned. The only reaction I've ever had from anyone is "Where can I get one?" My oldest Smoky case (I have about 12 of 'em) is almost a year old (actually a year old next month)...still works great, even though I was a little aprehensive about what I thought would be a big problem with the hinges. No problems at all, knock on wood. They're tough, durable, don't crush or mash easily and I wouldn't trade 'em for anything.

I have a bunch of those smoky cases, the one piece ones where the top flips back? I don't use them, mainly the wife wanted them. Seem fine to me. The only thing I don't like about them is that they only hold 18 smokes.

Personally, I use a tin (like the D&R $1.00 ones) because you can put 20 smokes in there. Actually my wife is using a Bali Shag tin that holds about 26 smokes. It's actually a pretty cool tin :) Embossed with Bali Shag (and nothing else) and slightly curved on top (hence the extra room).

I have some old Players Navy Cut & Kool tins that I use on occasion. If you really want to find a unusual tin, go to a half way decent smoke shop. There's a bunch of pre-made cigs that come in dynamite tins (Camel for one). Throw the cigs out, keep the tin.
